The Dorset Mammal Group is backing an initiative being set up as the Dorset Badger Vaccination Project. The aim is to offer the services of trained vaccinators to farmers and landowners who wish to pursue this option instead of culling. The lay vaccinators are supported by volunteers (enquiries to vaccination@dorsetmammalgroup.org.uk) and operate in strict accordance with defra and Natural England procedures.
